Pray

We are inviting all followers of Jesus to join the Defenders Prayer Team. United in the Holy Spirit, we are praying accordingly:

1. For the Lord to bring an end to the war in Ukraine and draw all people to Himself.

2. For the Lord to protect all the innocent civilians suffering from Russia’s senseless attacks, particularly the elderly, the infirmed, the widows, and the orphans.

3. For the Lord to give strength and peace to all the parents and children fearing for their lives, to all the families sleeping in bomb shelters and metro stations – that he would rescue them and protect the children from nightmares and lasting trauma.

4. For the evacuation of people and the distribution of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to go smoothly. For the brave volunteers to have strength and abundant resources as they serve those in need.

5. For Ukrainian Evangelical churches and communities, that God would draw near, send angels of protection, and give them courage in the face of death. For God to restore peace so these churches can continue to be lights for Jesus in Ukraine.

6. For Ukrainian Evangelical pastors, who are fighting to shepherd their flocks during wartime.

7. For the many faithful men and women, people of peace and love, who, in the absence of any other option, are being forced to bear arms against the Russian Armed Forces as this war continues.

8. For the Lord to keep performing miracles and speaking directly to His children in Ukraine.

9. For the Lord to open the eyes of the Russian Armed Forces, who are being held captive by spirits of violence and deception – that they would look in horror on their actions and put their weapons down.

10. That the Lord would hasten the day when all swords will be beaten into ploughshares.
